ISS atau Idling Stop System merupakan sebuah teknologi besutan Honda yang dibenamkan pada Honda Vario 125. Fungsi utama dari teknologi ini adalah untuk menurunkan konsumsi bahan bakar dan menurunkan emisi. Seperti yang telah kita kenal selama ini Honda menggunakan tagline “irit” untuk memasarkan produknya. Dan terbukti hal tersebut cukup ampuh menggait konsumen di Indonesia. Dengan teknologi ISS ini Honda mengklaim mampu menurunkan konsumsi bahan bakar sebesar 7%. Nah bagaimana bisa dengan ISS ini bisa menghemat bahan bakar? Simak cara kerjanya berikut ini.

Di perkotaan, trafik light cukup turut andil dalam menyedot konsumsi bahan bakar. Apalagi dikota-kota besar seperti Jakarta yang sering terjadi kemacetan, bayangkan saja berapa jumlah bahan bakar yang seharusnya dapat dikonversi menjadi energi namun terbuang sia-sia. Nah dengan hadirnya teknologi ISS ini mesin akan secara otomatis mati ketika mesin dalam kondisi idle setelah 3 detik . Untuk menghidupkanya hanya dengan memutar handle gas beberapa derajat saja. Setidaknya ada empat sensor yang digunakan pada idling stop system ini. Pertama switch ISS yang ada di sebelah kanan kemudi, kedua ECT sensor (engine coolant temperature) untuk mengetahui suhu mesin, ketiga VH sensor sebagai sensor kecepatan dan terakhir adalah TPS sebagai sensor bukaan throttle (gas).
Idling Stop System akan bekerja ketika kondisi kendaraan terpenuhi. Ada 5 kondisi yang harus dipenuhi agar ISS bisa aktif yaitu switch (saklar) ISS harus dalam keadaan “ON”, kecepatan kendaraan minimal 10 Km/jam (diukur dari VH sensor), trohtlle dalam keadaan menutup penuh (diukur dari TPS), suhu mesin mencapai 60°C dan kendaraan berhenti setelah 3 detik. Jadi anda tak usah khawatir ketika akan memanaskan mesin dipagi hari karena jika belum mencapai 60°C mesin tidak akan mati. Nah, data dari keempat sensor tersebut kemudian dikirimkan ke ECU (electronic control unit )untuk di proses. Ketika kondisi yang saya sebutkan diatas sudah terpenuhi maka ECU akan melakukan cut off pada sistem bahan bakar dan sistem pengapian sehingga mesin dengan sendirinya akan mati.
Untuk menghidupkan kembali Honda Vario ISS ini cukup dengan memutar handle gas beberapa derajat saja. Sistem starter yang digunakan pada Honda Vario inikan menggunakan ACG atau menggunakan generator yang juga sekaligus sebagai pengisian. Inilah alasan kenapa suara Honda vario 125 begitu lembut ketika distarter. Jadi ketika handle gas diputar, maka TPS sebagai sensor bukaan throttle (gas) akan mengirimkan sinyal ke ECU. Kemudian ECU memberikan tegangan ke ACG tadi sehingga motor akan hidup hanya dengan memutar handle gas saja dengan catatan kunci kontak dalam keadaan “ON”. Meskipun penggunaan bateray jadi lebih tinggi, namun Honda menjamin bateray atau aki pada Honda Vario 125 anda tidak akan tekor. Hal ini dikarenakan kapasitas pengisian dinaikan 1,6 kali dari versi biasa.

Teknologi Anti-Tabrakan Honda

 Produsen mobil Honda terus berinovasi dalam hal teknologi modern. Kali ini, Honda konsen untuk mengembangkan teknologi anti-tabrakan. Ya, teknologi itu disebut Honda SENSING. Sebuah sistem yang dapat membantu pengemudi dalam berkendara. 

Sensing akan diaplikasikan sebagai salah satu fitur baru dari model sedan Honda All New Legend yang akan dijual di Jepang pada akhir tahun 2014, dan kemudian secara bertahap akan diaplikasikan ke model mobil Honda lainnya mulai tahun 2015 mendatang.

Dalam keterangan resminya, Selasa (28/10/2014) melalui teknologi canggihnya ini, produsen mobil asal Jepang itu ingin mewujudkan lalu lintas bebas tabrakan. Tidak hanya pengguna atau pengendara, tapi juga semua orang bisa merasakan hidup tenang.

Honda SENSING ini merupakan suatu sistem yang terdiri dari 2 jenis sensor dengan karakteristik yang berbeda. Salah satunya adalah radar gelombang milimeter yang diletakan di dalam grill depan dan yang kedua adalah kamera mokukuler yang dipasankan di atas, tepatnya di bagian kaca depan.

Kedua sensor itu akan mengidentifikasi pejalan kaki dan benda-benda lainnya yang datang dalam rentan waktu kurang lebih 60 meter di depan kendaraan.

Sistem tersebut memiliki beberapa fungsi utama, di antaranya adalahCollision Mitigation Braking yang mampu memberikan peringatan berupa audio dan visual jika ada potensi terjadinya tabrakan. Jika pengendara tidak sadar, maka mobil secara otomatis akan melakukan pengereman sendiri.

Sistem berikutnya adalah Road Departure Mitigation. Sistem ini akan bekerja dengan kamera sebagai bentuk peringatan ketika mobil keluar dari jalur. Nantinya roda kemudi akan bergetar dan ada peringatan bunyi dan jika pengemudi tidak sadar maka dengan sendirinya mobil akan diarahkan ke jalur semula.Dilanjutkan dengan sistem Pedestrian Collision Mitigation Steering. Sistem ini menggunakan radar dan kamera dalam mendeteksi pejalan kaki dan garis batas di tepi jalan. Nantinya fitur ini akan bekerja jika mobil mulai melenceng ke garis samping dan berpotensi menabrak pejalan kaki.

Ada juga sistem yang diberinama False Start Prevention Function. Sistem ini bekerja saat pengemudi melaju dengan cepat, tapi di depan mobil ada kendaraan. Teknologi ini mampu membaca lampu rem pada kendaraan yang ada di depannya.

Lainnya adalah sistem Lead Car Departure Notification. Teknologi ini akan memberikan informasi kepada pengemudi mobil kalau di depan ada kemacetan dengan cara memberikan tanda melalui audio dan visual.

Teknologi pintar ini rencananya akan mulai dipasang di beberapa model Honda yang akan dijual mulai akhir tahun mendatang. Rencananya, Honda akan terus memasangkan teknologi canggihnya ini ke beberapa model lainnya di masa yang akan datang. (Quoted from oto.detik.com, edited byDAVID)

LTE Pertama di Indonesia Sudah Tahap Trial

 Jakarta - Setelah melakukan trial di Bali yang bertepatan dengan KTT APEC 2013, XL Axiata melangkah lagi dalam menawarkan konektivitas jaringan telekomunikasi generasi keempat (4G) berbasis Long Term Evolution (LTE).

Di Jakarta, XL Axiata mencoba melakukan promo trial jaringan LTE-4G kepada pelanggannya secara terbatas di kawasan tertentu.

"Ada 260 operator dari 130 negara yang sudah melucurkan 4G. Di Asia Tenggara sudah ada Singapura, Malaysia bahkan Kamboja. Kenapa Indonesia belum? Nah ini saatnya," jelas Presiden Direktur XL Axiata Hasnul Suhaimi, di Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta, Selasa (27/10/2014).

Hasnul mengatakan apa yang dilakukan oleh XL Axiata ini bukanlah pelucuran komersial, namun hanya promo trial. Maksudnya 4G-LTE ini hanya dapat dinikmati pelanggan XL di kawasan mal seperti Kota Kasablanka, Euphoria Lounge , Senayan City dan Central Park.

Promo trial ini juga digelar secara terbatas. Dimulai dari sekarang hingga tiga bulan ke depan.

"Ke depannya kita ingin melakukan secara bertahap agar bisa segera meluncur di beberapa kota di Indonesia," tambah Hasnul.

Sementara itu Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika Rudiantara menyambut baik apa yang dilakukan oleh XL Axiata ini, sambil mengingatkan bahwa Kominfo belum memberikan izin komersial.

 "Saya pribadi menyambut baik, antara regulasi dan operator harus berkerjasama dengan erat. Promo trial ini nantinya bisa menjadi bahan masukan untuk kami dari sisi regulator," kata Rudiantara.

Dalam pengujian ini, XL Axiata mengklaim dapat menembus tiga digit dari konektivitas sebelumnya atau 100 Mbps.

"Nah, saya tagih janjinya ini kecepatan segitu ke masyarakat,"pintanya.

"LTE adalah suatu keniscayaan. Mau tidak mau harus kita adopsi. Jangan cuma XL semua operator saya tantang untuk melakukan hal serupa demi kepentingan masyarakat," tandasnya.

Konektivitas Siri di Honda

3 Desember 2013 – American Honda Motor Co., Inc. mengumumkan bahwa beberapa model pilihan dari Honda dan  Acura, di antaranya Honda Accord model  2013 -2014 dan  Acura RDX dan ILX tahun 2013 kini menawarkan mode Siri Eyes Free dari Apple sebagai aksesoris yang dapat dibeli dan diinstal di dealer. Dengan aplikasi ini, konsumen dapat mengintegrasikan iPhone mereka yang kompatibel dengan Siri Eyes untuk melakukan berbagai tugas tanpa harus melepaskan tangan dari kemudi maupun pandangan dari jalanan saat berkendara.

Aplikasi Siri Eyes Free dapat beroperasi berkat rekayasa ulang dari perangkat lunak yang terdapat di dalam mobil, yaitu sistem konektivitas HondaLink™ atau AcuraLink™, sehingga Siri dapat beroperasi dengan sempurna melalui HandsFreeLink® lewat microphone dan speaker yang berada di panel kemudi.

Beberapa operasi yang bisa dilakukan lewat aplikasi ini antara lain:
• Mengirimkan pesan teks dan email
• Membaca pesan teks yang masuk dan juga email
• Menyiapkan entri kalender, pengingat dan alarm
• Memeriksa cuaca
• Turn-by-turn navigasi suara (ketika sistem audio diatur untuk  Bluetooth® Audio atau iPod mode)
• Skor olahraga dan harga saham.

Semua hal tersebut bisa dilakukan melalui operasi suara, sehingga menghindari penggunaan tangan dan menjaga agar pandangan pengemudi tetap terfokus pada jalanan. Bahkan beberapa fungsi telah dikembangkan untuk meminimalisasi gangguan visual untuk pengemudi, seperti fungsi yang mencegah layar telepon menyala saat operasi berlangsung.

City Brake Active System Honda

Tokyo, Jepang, 4 April 2014 – Honda Motor Co., Ltd mengembangkan teknologi pengereman baru, City-Brake Active System, yang merupakan sebuah sistem pendukung untuk menghindarkan pengemudi dari kecelakaan.
City-Brake Active System bekerja dengan memberikan peringatan audio dan visual untuk mengatur kinerja rem sesuai dengan kondisi berkendara yang aman. Saat kendaraan melaju dengan kecepatan kurang dari sekitar 30 km/jam, sistem ini akan menentukan risiko tabrakan tingkat tinggi dengan menggunakan radar laser yang terdapat pada bagian atas kaca depan untuk menghindari dan mengurangi tingkat kerusakan akibat kecelakaan. Jika pengemudi tidak mengambil tindakan untuk memperlambat kendaraannya, sistem ini akan berfungsi secara otomatis untuk melakukan pengereman.
City-Brake Active System juga memiliki fungsi mencegah laju kendaraan secara mendadak yang tidak disengaja. Pada saat kendaraan sedang diam atau berjalan kurang dari 10 km/jam, jika jika sistem membaca bahwa pengemudi menginjak pedal gas terlalu keras – misalkan pengemudi tanpa sengaja menginjak pedal gas saat bermaksud menginjak pedal rem – dan sistem mendeteksi ada objek lain dalam jarak sekitar 4 meter di depan kendaraan, sistem akan mengirim peringatan audio dan visual serta mengontrol output mesin untuk menahan laju kendaraan.
Selain Fitur City-Brake Active System, Honda juga menambahkan berbagai teknologi perlindungan kendaraan lainnya seperti side airbags dan side curtain airbags untuk kendaraan terbarunya nanti. Rencananya, fitur-fitur keselamatan baru ini akan mulai diterapkan pada model terbaru All New Honda Fit (Jazz) generasi ketiga yang akan diperkenalkan pada tahun ini.
